Be a Savvy Shopper - Shop Smarter Tips

Regardless of whether you are someone who loathes shopping or it's your favourite pastime, these ‘Shop Smarter Tips’ will enable to you build a better wardrobe whilst ultimately spending less time and wasting less money.
Plan of Action Sort through your wardrobe and make a list of any missing ‘key items’. This will help you keep focussed on what you need rather than impulse buying.
Dress for the Occasion If you have specifics in mind, then ensure you are wearing (or at least bring along) the undergarments and correct shoes for the items you are looking for. Otherwise, wear easy on/off clothes.
Walk the Walk Try it on. Walk, sit, bend in the clothes. Do they move easily? Are the seams pulling? Do zips, buttons, etc. all function properly?
Mirror, mirror... Use the three-way mirror. Bear in mind that some items can look fantastic from the front but are a totally different story from the back. Never buy trousers or jeans without checking out all the view!
Check the Returns Policy If you are buying a sale item then do check if you can return it or not. Avoid anything that you can only get store credit for unless it is a shop you know you will want to buy from again in the future.
Perfect Fit Never buy anything that doesn't fit perfectly. The only exceptions are trousers/skirts that can be easily altered for length at the hem.
Bag a Bargain This is my final but most important tip. Remember - it's not a bargain (even at 90% off) unless you actually have some way of working it into your existing wardrobe. Otherwise, step away from that rail!
