Did you know that others react to our colour choices without us even realising?
Ever since man understood fiery red meant danger and those purple berries were poisonous, colour has been associated with moods and feelings. Over the next few days I will blog about some of the impressions you give when you wear certain colours, and why.
BLUE
YOU WILL APPEAR: Calm, Friendly, Authoritative, Traditional, Inoffensive, Trustworthy
Blue – portrays trust, peace, sincerity and is the colour of logic. Navy blue conveys responsibility, law and order which is why many police forces choose navy for their uniform.
WHY?
Much of the world is blue (skies, seas). Seeing the colour blue actually causes the body to produce chemicals that are calming; but that isn't true of all shades of blue. Some shades (or too much blue) can send a cold and uncaring message. Many bedrooms are blue because it's calm, restful colour. Over the ages blue has become associated with steadfastness, dependability, wisdom and loyalty (the reason uniforms are often blue). People tend to be more productive in a blue room because they are calm and focused on the task at hand. Some studies are showing that weight lifters can lift more weight in a blue gym - in fact, nearly all sports are enhanced in blue surroundings.
Go on, try wearing blue and watch how it affects you and others.

P.s. Please note that this is for fun! Don't take what you wear too seriously...wear clothes and colours that make YOU feel GREAT and you will look it too!
